Staff--Community Assistance Directory

Our Staff

The Community Assistance Directory is provided by the State Outreach group of the University of Michigan's Office of the Vice President for Government Relations. The State Outreach group fosters a direct line of communication between the University and communities statewide to improve awareness of the University's resources and outreach activities. This group also helps to develop new initiatives which enhance the quality of life for Michigan residents.

David Lossing, Associate Director, State Outreach Office

Richard Carter and David Lossing are the Associate Directors for the State Outreach office located in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Veronica A. Johnson is the Director of the Lansing Service Center. They serve as "traveling emissaries" for the University of Michigan and help improve communications between UM's administrators, faculty, staff, students and the public and private leaderships of communities statewide.

Linda Scharer, Community Assistance Directory Manager

Linda Scharer is the manager for the Community Assistance Directory, the web designer for Government Relations and provides administrative assistance to the Officers of State Outreach.
