Humanities Spring Seminar

In May of each year, Friday night and all day Saturday

Seminar/discussions for people who enjoy new ideas in the humanities and the arts.

Led by Michigan's humanities faculty and fellows, the seminar begins Friday evening with a performance or arts demonstration. Saturday sessions may include a visit to a museum or artist's studio, along with seminar-style sessions on varied topics in the humanities and the arts. Previous sessions have featured book preservation, cultural preservation, poetry and war, memoir, Shakespeare's sonnets, and First Amendment rights. Participants always enjoy the opportunity to exchange ideas with faculty and with each other.
