The Community Assistance Directory is a public service designed to help residents of the State of Michigan improve the quality of life in their communities. It is an online directory that provides access to information about state outreach programs and services that are based at the University of Michigan. We hope that it will be useful for Michigan's business and industrial communities, community agencies and developers, educators, health care providers, libraries, local and state governments, social service agencies, and the general public. Please see our Content Guide for a more detailed description of this directory.
Finding Information in the DirectoryThe two basic ways to find information in this directory include "searching" and "browsing". You have easy access to both of these options from the main page.
If you really just want to see a list of all of the programs in a given county or subject area, or if you want to scan an alphabetical list of all of the programs by title, use the "browse" options at the bottom of the main page.
If you want to enter your own search terms, use the search box on the main page. If you want the additional flexibility of combining your search terms with a search by county, major city, or subject area, use the Customized Search form (which you can get to from the main page).
How to Submit a Program
If you are a UM program manager with a state outreach program you'd like included in this directory, please refer to the Submission Guidelines page for more information.
